AGENCY HISTORY
FAME CDC is one of five Head Start grantees in Seattle and was established in 1980 to promote child and family development services in the Central Area and Rainier Valley of Seattle.  FAME CDC prides itself in that both its staff and families represent the variety of cultures that make these areas of Seattle so unique and vibrant. The agency provides free Head Start and Early Head Start education and social services to income-eligible children and families in Capitol Hill, the Central Area and the Rainier Valley communities.  Children of all abilities from birth to five years of age, as well as prenatal mothers, are enrolled in Early Head Start, Head Start and Child Care programs.
